This gauge is a guide only to the suitability of agricultural towing eye dimensions. It indicates that the towing eye is worn and should be replaced.

How it works...

This farm safety gauge has been engineered to aid the agricultural community as part of its daily Head to Tow checks. To pass a Tilly inspection a towing eye must meet the required standard of wear and tear.

A towing eye should never be repaired, twisted or worn in excess of 33% on a 40mm agricultural towing eye. 

Replacement of a towing eye should never be undertaken by an unqualified person.

It's an obvious necessity to keep a combination together both on and off the road and checking wear is now straightforward and accessible to users and operators.

Pass 

As the Agrikel gauge doesn't fit over the towing eye, it shows this towing eye has less than 33% wear. 

Fail

This towing eye is showing excessive wear as the Agrikel fits over the towing eye. This trailer should be removed from service immediately. 

Replacement of a towing eye should never be undertaken by an unqualified person.
